Notice: All voters, including those with a private or withheld status, may view their own registration record to confirm their registration status on the voter registration lookup tool on
www.vote.utah.gov.
This page provides monthly data on Utah’s voter list maintenance activities. It includes:
Voters who were sent confirmation cards (undeliverable mail/ballot, inactivity, or moved)
Voters who returned confirmation cards (including voters who updated their registration after being sent a confirmation card)
Voters removed from the voter rolls (deceased, inactive, voter request, etc). This includes summary information on the reasons for removal. Voter removal data is currently only available for November 2025 forward. Historical data will be added in the near future.
These reports are published in accordance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) and are maintained for a period of 2 years. Under the NVRA, a voter who does not participate in a federal election cycle or re-register is moved to inactive status and sent a confirmation card. If that inactivity continues through an additional federal election cycle, the voter is removed from the rolls for the reason of “Inactivity.” (See 52 USC 20507)
For a full explanation of this annual inactivation and removal process, see our
Voter List Maintenance page.
Important notes:
Reports from January 2024 through November 2025 were generated on the first Monday of each month rather than the first calendar day. Beginning December 2025, reports are run on the first day of each month. Because of this date shift, the month-to-month counts of removal reasons may appear higher or lower than typical during this period.
For voters with a Private or Withheld privacy status, all personal information, except county, is redacted.
For Public voters, only the information required by the NVRA (name and address) is included.
Voter registrations are processed and maintained by the county clerks. Please contact your county clerk directly with any questions.
