Obtain Voter Registration or Election Data

The Lieutenant Governor’s Office can provide certain types of registration and election data. Click on a heading below for more information.

Per Utah Code 20A-2-607, current voter registration information will not be provided to any requestor or entity until May 25, 2026. Any requests for information received prior to May 25, 2026, will be fulfilled using data from March 8, 2026.


Statewide Voter Registration Database

State law requires that portions of a voter registration form is available to the public, unless a voter has requested that his or her voter information is classified as an At-Risk record.

  • Submit Your Request
  • Fee: $1,050.00 for a one-time purchase. Refunds, subscriptions, or updates without a fee are not offered.
  • File Format: Tab-delimited. Please note that some software programs, including Microsoft Excel, are not capable of displaying all of the data due to the size of the spreadsheet.
  • Data included: The database includes the following information allowed by Utah Code 20A-2-602:
    • Full legal name
    • Voter identification number
    • Age range
    • Complete residential address, including the unit type and number
    • County of residence
    • Mailing address, including the city
    • Voting precinct, congressional district, state House of Representatives district, state Senate district, state school board district, local school board district, county council district, and city council district
    • Party affiliation or status as unaffiliated
    • Status as an active or inactive voter
    • The last day on which their registration record was updated
    • Vote history (elections in which they voted, not whom they voted for)
  • Voters’ Dates of Birth: State law places restrictions on obtaining voters’ date of birth. The age range of public voters will be provided as designated by Utah Code 20A-2-601.
  • Access Restrictions: Most voter registration records in Utah are classified as public but there are access restrictions on one other classification.
    • Access to At-Risk Voter Registrations: Utah law allows certain categories of individuals to classify their voter registrations as “At-risk”. These records cannot be provided to members of the public, political parties, or candidates.
  • Delivery: You will receive an email that allows you to download the database within one business day of your purchase. Please note that the database file size is large (~150MB).
  • County or District Voter Lists: If you want a list of registered voters for a specific county or district, you may obtain a list from the appropriate county clerk(s). The Lt. Governor’s Office does not offer voter registration lists other than a statewide list.

Election Data Report – Who Has Voted Report

This report provides a list of voters who have voted before Election Day.

  • Submit Your Request
  • Availability: This report is available for regular (even-year) primary and general elections. It is not available during municipal (odd-year) elections or after an election.
  • Fee: $35.00 per election. Refunds are not offered.
  • File Format: Tab-delimited. Please note that some software programs, including Microsoft Excel, may not capable of displaying all of the data due to the size of the spreadsheet.
  • Delivery: The file will be emailed to you every day beginning 21 days before election day and ending the day before election day.
  • Data included: The report includes the information below:
    • Voter’s voter identification number
    • Voter’s full legal name
    • Voter’s complete residential address, including the unit type and number
    • Voter’s county of residence
    • Voter’s precinct and congressional district
    • Method by which the voter voted
    • Date the ballot was processed
    • Voter’s party affiliation or status as unaffiliated
  • Private Voter Data: For At-risk voters, the information listed above will be provided without disclosing the identity of the At-risk voter.

Election Data Report – Who Has Been Sent an Absentee Ballot

This report provides a list of voters who have been sent an absentee or mail ballot.

  • Submit Your Request
  • Availability: This report is available for regular (even-year) primary and general elections. It is not available during municipal (odd-year) elections or after an election.
  • Fee: $35.00 per election. Refunds are not offered.
  • File Format: Tab-delimited. Please note that some software programs, including Microsoft Excel, may not capable of displaying all of the data due to the size of the spreadsheet.
  • Delivery: The file will be emailed to you every day beginning 21 days before election day and ending the day before election day.
  • Data included: The report includes the information below. Please note that any voter registration records that are classified as private will not be included.
    • Voter’s voter identification number
    • Voter’s full legal name
    • Voter’s complete residential address, including the unit type and number
    • Voter’s county of residence
    • Voter’s precinct and congressional district
    • Date the election officer created the ballot order
    • Date the ballot was processed
    • Voter’s party affiliation or status as unaffiliated
  • Private Voter Data: For At-risk voters, the information listed above will be provided without disclosing the identity of the At-risk voter.

Precinct-Level Results

The Lt. Governor’s Office can provide election results for recent elections. Please Submit Your Request to obtain the data. There is no fee.
