Voting Options for Voters with Disabilities

Below are options that voters with disabilities have to cast a ballot securely and secretly. Your county may offer additional options, so please contact your county clerk’s office for more information.

📬 Vote by Mail

Your returned ballot must be received by your county clerk’s office or placed in a secure dropbox by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarks are no longer accepted, so please mail your ballot early.

Note: Starting in 2026, there will be a space to include the last four digits of your Utah Driver License, State ID, or Social Security Number on your ballot return envelope.

💻 Vote via Email

Utah law allows voters with disabilities to send and receive ballots via email. You may request an email ballot through your county clerk’s office.

🗳️ Vote In-Person

Early voting and Election Day polling locations have voting machines that offer accommodations for voters with visual or hearing impairments. Inform a poll worker when you arrive if you need an accessible machine.

Note: If you need assistance, you may choose any individual to help you except for your employer, a trade union representative, or a candidate.
