Signature Withdrawal

In accordance with Utah Code, the period for removing a signature from this petition is now open. Any registered voter who signed the petition and wishes to remove their name must submit a formal written statement to their County Clerk.

  • Deadline: Must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026.
  • Requirements: Must include name, address, petition name, and a handwritten signature.
  • Submission: Cannot be accepted via email. Must be delivered in person or via mail.

Signature Removal Timeline

Signature removal requests must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the applicable deadline under state law. Information on how to remove your name from a petition can be found here.

For a signer whose signature was verified before December 1:
The deadline to remove your signature is 90 days after your name is posted on the website.

For a signer whose signature was verified after December 1, 2025:
The deadline for submitting a removal request is based on whichever occurs first:

  • 30 calendar days after the voter signs the removal request (this also applies to removal requests that are given to another party to submit to the county clerk); or
  • 45 calendar days after the Lieutenant Governor’s Office posts the signer’s name online.
Example: For a signature posted on the Lieutenant Governor’s website on March 9th, the last day the signer may remove their name from the petition is April 23, 2026. (Note: this is a rolling deadline)
