When Your Voice Is Heard
Depending upon the office and/or issues, elections typically take place in two- or four-year cycles. There are general elections that occur every four years, when the United States elects its president. And then there are special, primary, or off-year elections, when other office-holders and issues must be settled.
There is nothing more important to the American system of democracy than providing for its citizens to conduct their elections in a timely, organized manner. In Utah, the Lt. Governor’s Office is committed to a fair, orderly process for citizens to elect their office-holders and voice their opinions on a variety of issues that make the ballot. Our conduct in this regard is unequivocal – rising above all party lines or issue sides.
